To ensure the best performance and behaviour of the Voip calls, we have some recommendations for you to set up your computer to start using our system, or preventing any disruption.

1. Managing Chrome Extensions

Even though having ad blocker extensions on Chrome, for example AdBlock Plus, Ghostery, AdFighter can be useful in many matters, they can interfere with our service.

If you are using the Browser app, or our softphone in Salesforce, having the extension enabled can cause the app not to charge, or cause communication issues such as dropped calls or one-way audio.

This example shows how to disable them:

  1. In the Browser app / Softphone in Salesforce
    โ€‹

    b. Disable in the website and reload the page.

2. Managing Antivirus Exclusions/Exceptions.

Antiviruses are really important, but they can block the traffic between you and PhoneIQ servers. So it's recommended to add our URL as an exlusion rule on your Antivirus of preference.

The same happens with our Desktop App, where you can easily add as exception on your Antivirus settings.

Please notice that every anitvirus has a different way to get this done, you can contact [email protected] for assistance.

3. Allowing the Desktop app through Firewall.

As the Antivirus, the Firewall can play a trick and block Inbound and/or Outbound traffic, causing an easily preventable issue.

You can follow the following instructions to allow our App:

a. First in your Start menu, search for Firewall & Network Protection.

b. Click on the option 'Allow an app through Firewall'.

c. Then click on Change settings, and allow 'phoneiq.exe' following the next reference.

d- Click OK and the setting is done.

4. VPN:

If you are using a corporate VPN, It's necessary to contact your administrator to Whitelist our IP Addresses and ports.
